URM Security cc aims to provide a total, high-end, property management service at a competitive price. The company was founded in 2001. Its initial services included event security, close protection and loss-control investigations. In response to customer demand, the provision of site security (guards) was added to this list in 2003. In 2008 the company was expanded to include property management, maintenance and cleaning company services. 2014 saw the acquisition of a significant stake in one of the country's premier remote monitoring control rooms. It is management's belief that a worker is only as good as he is managed. URM is therefore a horizontally structured group where top-management retains close contact with all workers. This approach is further enhanced by our empowerment policy. At larger sites a site-supervisor is appointed to fulfill certain management functions. Taking responsibility for attendance rosters and site discipline earns this manager up to 50% more in wages and sets him up for further promotion. This in turn serves to provide ordinary guards something to aspire to, giving an outlet to ambition, often lacking in our industry.
